  • The Wivey Walkers organise two walks each month, and anyone is welcome to come along- there is no membership or charges. On the first Wednesday of each month there is a walk from Wivey Square at 10.00am, or a local walk using the bus to take us to the start, and walking back. A Saturday in the middle of the month sees us going a little further afield, car sharing from Croft Way car park, typically to the Brendon Hills, Exmoor, the Quantocks, and the Blackdowns. Again, we leave at 10.00am.

See the Walks Programme PDF on the left, or the Events section for more information about the walking programme and bus walks. The programme is also displayed on the notice boards in the Square, which also has one complete board showing the footpath network around Wivey, including the 26 mile circular 'Wivey Way'.

We are a friendly, informal group , who generally walk at a moderate pace whilst chatting. Our organised walks are covered by public liability insurance, but we do ask all walkers to sign a form accepting personal responsibility. That form 'Disclaimer' is on the left as a PDF, which you can open and print. Please sign and date it and bring it along the next time you join us for a walk. Add your email address if you would like to be kept up to date about walks.

If you have a favourite walk you would like to share with others, do get in touch. We're looking for new walks and leaders.
