    Raddington Festival of Music 2015

    The Raddington Music Festival is a charitable event being organised to bring the local community together to raise public awareness of the history and uniqueness of St Michael’s Church, Raddington and provide a platform for local musicians, both expert and also young people new to public performance. The proceeds of musical performances and associated sales and catering will be used to contribute to the costs of repairs to the fabric of the Church. A proportion of the proceeds will be paid to a charity that supports the development of young musicians.



    Saturday, 12 September

    Get Set for Strictly!

    10am-12noon at Rectory Barn, Raddington

    Fun dance lessons with professional teacher Denise Welch, including Latin and Ballroom Dancing

    Including mid-session tea/coffee and cake £10


    Let the Celebration Begin with Sarah Greinig and William Rees

    12noon – 1pm in St. Michael’s Church, Raddington

    Sarah Greinig plays Bach’s Partita No 2 in D minor. Local readings by William Rees.

    Followed by a light lunch in the Rectory Barn £12.50 / £10 (rear facing seat)


    Young Performers’ Platform and Frivolous Winds

    2.15pm – 5pm in the Rectory Barn

    Musicians from Queen’s College, Wellington School and Richard Huish College and the 4DGs. Interval performance by Frivolous Winds.

    Tea/Coffee and Cake in the Rectory Barn Marquee £7.50


    Candlelight Concert. Clayhanger String Quartet / Soprano Alison Routh

    6pm-7.45pm in St. Michael’s Church, Raddington

    Including interval wine and nibbles

    Followed by a simple supper in the Rectory Barn £15 / £12.50 (rear facing seat)


    Sunday, 13 September


    Songs for a September Sunday. Voices of Exmoor Choir

    12noon -1pm in St. Michael’s Church, Raddington

    Followed by a light lunch in the Rectory Barn £12.50 / £10 (rear facing seat)


    Exmoor Singers and Musicians Saffron Summerfield and Hazel Prior

    2.15pm – 3pm in St Michael’s Church, Raddington

    Followed by Tea/Coffee and Cake in the Church Marquee £7.50/£5.00 (rear facing seat)


    Concertina Band and Tales of Local History. J 25 Concertina Band with Edwyn Mills

    3pm Tea/Coffee and Cake in the Rectory Barn Marquee

    3.30pm-4.30pm Performance in the Rectory Barn £7.50


    An Evening of Baroque Delights with Sarah Davies and Friends

    5pm – 6.55pm in St. Michael’s Church, Raddington
