Community Action for Sustainability - an illustrated talk with Sarah Pugh
Monday 7th March, Wiveliscombe Community Centre (upstairs)
We are delighted to introduce Sarah to share her years of first hand experience of how ordinary people are taking sustainability into their own hands in villages, towns and cities in the UK and USA.
Sarah has been teaching Permaculture in Bristol and the UK since 2004, working alongside Patrick Whitefield and Mike Feingold. She is a founder member of the Bristol Permaculture Group and has worked in community gardens, city farms, festivals and a community newspaper.
In 2007 she set up Transition Bristol, the first Transition City. She is a founding director of Shift Bristol and lead tutor and facilitator on its Practical Sustainability Course in which some of the UK's leading experts offer the latest thinking and practical skills in permaculture design, woodland management, organic horticulture, soil and ecology, relocalisation, green energy, green building, group dynamics and creating change.
So if any of these areas shake your tree then come for an entertaining and humorous exploration of pioneering community action and business innovation that is making a greener world possible.
The event is organized by Wivey Action on Climate
Doors open 7.00 for talk to start 7.30. £4 (£2 concessions)
