Cotleigh Brewery in Wiveliscombe will be hosting a unique music festival this coming weekend featuring many up and coming local singer/ songwriters as well as a genuine legendary veteran from the US – Barry “the fish” Melton. He was a founder member of Country Joe & the Fish playing at both Monterey Pop & the Woodstock festivals – two of the music festivals which heralded the blossoming folk & rock music that we know today.
Also appearing with Barry will be Stephane Missri from France and Rob Beckinsale who has also played in another iconic US band It’s a Beautiful Day. Other artists appearing on Saturday 23rd September starting from 2.30pm will be Jacob and Drinkwater, Greg Hancock, Sam Patten, Jules Reason, Tom Winsborough and the Wivey Ukele Band.
The Cotleigh Roots Festival starts at 7.30pm on Friday 22nd September with the wonderful Kitty Macfarlane from Milverton headlining with support from equally wonderful Eliza Acty & Border Tales.
