July 2010 Concert Performance

The Community Choir is now putting the finishing touches to its first concert performance. The concert, to be held at the chapel in Silver Street on Sunday 18 July at 3 pm, will be followed by afternoon tea in the Silver Street Centre. The choir shares the platform with its special guest "Junction 25", Taunton's Concertina Band. Other extras include a champange raffle in aid of Wivey Link and a lucky ticket prize.

Tickets are available from Wiveliscombe House, The Larder and Square Cut and, if any left, on the door. Tickets are £5 which includes your afternoon tea.

The Community Choir is a 4 part (SATB) group of 35 singers from the locality which started with 20 in September 2009. The repertoire is varied and we sing both accompanied and unaccompanied songs. The whole idea is to work hard in order to acheive as high a standard as possible whilst maintaining the fun and enjoyment we all get from singing as a group. The choir has now only 2 vacancies - for men (basses) with some choral experience and reading ability to balance the other sections. If you are interested in joining please contact Claire by phone or email. Even if you are not a bass, please still get in touch to add your name to the waiting list.
