OPEN EVENING
This year's open evening will be held in the upstairs room of the Wiveliscombe Community Centre at 7:30pm on Thursday 12th August. As the name suggests, this evening is open to all, with the purpose of recruiting any and all of those who may wish to join WAMDRAM in any capacity, onstage, backstage, front of stage or even flying above the stage! So come along, whether young or not so young, and see how you can get involved!
PANTOMIME 2011
It's that time of year again! Oh yes, it is! This year's Wamdram pantomime production will be Little Red Riding Hood. In the idyllic but troubled Pantovia, brought to near ruin by the upstart Count De Cash, the Rumple family and their neighbours do their best to celebrate young Rosie's birthday, even if she is dreading her grannie's inevitable present of yet another red riding hood! But the party is spoilt when the awful Count arrives and tries to drag the fair Rosie away to the Palace. She is rescued by a brave and handsome stranger, and it is love at first sight. Little does she realise that he is in fact Prince Rupert, the rightful ruler of the land.
Alas, they are soon separated, as more terrors befall the Rumples. Will the young lovers be reunited? Will the evil Count thwart their romance? Will there be a happy ending? There's only one way to find out - come to one of our performances at Kingsmead Community School Hall on Thursday, Friday and Saturday, February 24th - 26th at 7:30pm (doors open at 7:00pm). Tickets, priced at £6 adults & £3 children, will be available from Wivey Hardware or on the door at each performance. We look forward to seeing you at the show.
