We meet on the first Friday on each month in Wiveliscombe Community Centre at 7.30pm. Prospective new members are welcome.
We seek to enable women who are interested in issues associated with rural life, including arts, crafts and sciences, to take an effective part in a friendly and enjoyable way. We are a registered charity.
The Women’s Institute Movement originated in Canada, The first meeting in Britain was on 16th September 1915. The Wiveliscombe Branch was formed in 1932.
Any woman can join the WI.

Guests are very welcome at all our meetings (£2.50 - refundable against membership fee).

Betty Knight
Betty Night is the Women's Institute representative on this committee. Shs is President of Wiveliscombe Women's Institute. She is also Vice-Chairman of the Somerset County Federation of Women's Institutes, and Chairman of its Leisure Activities Sub-Committee. Her interests are gardening, embroidery and conservation.
