The Jim Laker Fund is a body which has funded many local initiatives since its foundation in 1997

The Jim Laker Fund was established in February 1997 in memory of Jim Laker, former Managing Director of Exmoor Ales Ltd. Jim was a man with a very keen interest in Wiveliscombe and was always willing to help local businesses and organisations in any way that he could. With this in mind, The Jim Laker Fund was formed in order to perpetuate his memory in a positive manner. The idea behind the fund is to offer financial assistance and support to local organisations in need of help. Small grants, interest free loans and grants against loss are available from the fund, as well as practical support and advice. To date the fund has given financial assistance to many local groups and has been instrumental in the planning and execution of The Brewery Plaque Trail.
