The Pension Service is a new organisation that came into being on 1st April 2002. It is a key part of the Department for Work and Pensions which has been restructured to provide a better service to all its customers. Our goal is to deliver the Government's aim to combat poverty and promote security and independence in retirement for today's and future pensioners.

If you require a home visit to discuss benefit entitlement, please contact Somerset County Council Community Service for Adults (Somerset Direct) on 0845 345 9133. A representative from the Financial Assessment and Benefit Team will visit to determine any entitlement and complete the necessary forms.
