This year promises to be an exciting one as we look forward to the start of the pool season and our brand new enhanced pool-side facilities. We want to keep you informed of progress so I have attached a 'key messages' document which contains details of the enhancement as well as several important milestones concerning 2009 membership and a forthcoming fundraising event.

Come and hear about the Pool Enhancement Scheme at an Open Meeting at Wivey Community Centre on Saturday 17th January between 9-9.30 or 11.30-12, ask questions and put yourself forward to help with Spring fundraising events. We would be really grateful for any suitable prizes for the raffle at the Blue Mile gig on 24th Jan. (poster attached - buy tickets now, they're selling fast!). You can drop prizes in to Wivey Community Office or Milverton Stores any time or bring with you to the Open Meeting. Please tell your friends about this Open Meeting and the Gig, if you could put posters up it would be greatly appreciated.

I have also attached a special membership form which offers you the opportunity to purchase up to 3 years membership in advance at 2008 prices before the end of February.

You may be aware that our website www.wiveypool.net was 'attacked' at the end of the season. I am delighted to tell you that the site has now been rebuilt and up and running again. Plans of the pool development can be viewed on the website.

Finally, the committee would like to thank you for your support during 2008 and we look forward to seeing you at fundraising events this Spring and at the pool this summer.
