Next Meeting

Thursday 24th November 2005, 7:30pm - Chapel Gallery, South Street, Wiveliscombe.

November Photo Project - 'Night'

Pictures should aim to capture some aspect of the night. Of course with Bonfire night this weekend, fireworks and all that, there should be plenty to aim a lens at, but don't forget it gets dark every night of the week!!

October Meeting

Turn out was much improved this month, and just about everyone brought along a picture on the 'Autumn' theme. There was a lengthy and interesting discussion of all the pictures, particularly on Trish's tarpaulin enlargements!

Messenger Photos

Two pictures were chosen this month for the Messenger, depending on space and whether the December issue will allow for a colour reproduction. David Bond had a lovely picture of berries which will work well if colour is available, and Seamus Coleman had a great picture of a stubble field in monotone which would work very well if we can only get B&W space in the Messenger.

DECEMBER MEETING - IMPORTANT!!

There Will Be No December Meeting.

As our normal meeting date falls in the Christmas break, we thought you should all have a night off to play with your new photographic equipment that Santa Claus will no doubt have shoved down your chminey! This will give more time for the January project, which we thought should be a bit more involved. We'll confirm plans after the next meeting, but in principle for the January meeting we'd like people to a) take a picture on the theme to be decided, and b) turn it into a finished artwork, for example by mounting in a frame, turning into a calendar, a mug, t-shirt or whatever takes your fancy (and budget). In other words, instead of just bringing along a picture to be passed around, bring along a work of art! You will of course be able to bring along the pictures too.

Conclusion

Remember that the Photo Forum is for you to share and enjoy your hobby. If there is anything that you would like to see, please let me know and we'll try to get things off the ground. If you have any ideas or thoughts for what to discuss or learn about at a meeting, let me know so that I can announce it to all in advance.

I look forward to seeing you at the next meeting.

Many thanks, Dave Meehan, 01984 629056
