Kingsmead Community Sports Centre is a dual use facility located on the site of Kingsmead Community School, Wiveliscombe. It is an outreach centre linked with Castle Sports Centre, Taunton. We have a 4 badminton court sports hall, activity hall, 4 outdoor tennis courts (summer) 4 outdoor netball courts (winter - with flood lights) and changing facilities.
We launched a new exercise class timetable in October of ADULT DANCE and GOLDEN OPPORTUNITIES 50+. ADULT DANCE Mondays 6.30-7.30pm All levels: Focusing on modern dance and ballet styles, a class for all abilities. A fun and friendly way of keeping fit by developing strength, posture, grace, co-ordination and flexibility. And GOLDEN OPPORTUNITIES 50+Tuesdays 6.30-7.30pm 50+ All Levels: A low impact class for the over 50's, concentrating on flexibility, mobility and co-ordination for all abilities. A chance to relax, enjoy and socialise! Due to the success of both classes they will continue to run in January 2008. I hope this will be ongoing throughout the year.
In addition there will be brand new sports and leisure development programme including lots more exciting new clubs, exercise classes (Pilates/yoga/circuits), courses, holiday camps and children's birthday parties available from January 2008.
