The church is constructed of red sandstone with limestone dressings. It has a three stage crenulated tower with finials.
It has an open wagon roof and the 16th century screen is one of its finest features. The nave abounds with old standard exhibiting a variety of beautiful tracery and woodcarving. The sculptures of a fox chasing a goose around a column in the nave arcade is an interesting feature.
