The group aims to develop a sustainable facility for the 10 Parishes Community which will deliver such services as comprehensive child care, "Hot Desking"/"Serviced Desks", delivery of statutory services, training and conference facilities and a Youth Club.

The catalyst for this project was the need for quality childcare in the community, and from there what would be required to deliver a sustainable facility, which requires the inclusion of economic activities to be delivered locally. By way of example it is estimated that the 18 people living in the 10 parishes who work at Deane house will travel 150,000 miles commuting each year, by providing facilities within this facility for TD to use these individuals would save significantly on travel costs, congestion would be reduced, and expensive office space in TD freed up. This is 1 simple example of the significant potential benefits both financial and environmental that we are seeking to achieve. We have secured operational funding from the Parish Council and Taunton Deane and additional funding for a "Feasibility Study" from the RDA.
